The grass is so fresh in this remote corner where the big horses have not yet gone to graze that the foal is enjoying it.
It's a beautiful sunny spring day and Hippolin feels free and happy.
How lucky to be able to live in this region of southern France where the sun shines most of the time!

The mare insists:

The well-fed colt eventually obeyed.
He gets closer and then finds his parents Val and Juju as well as his cousins ​​Hippolette in the dress all white and Polina who has a brown dress.
The two cousins ​​live with them.

“Come have fun with us! Polina then said to him, Hippolette and I were taking turns jumping over this little tree trunk.
- All right, Hippolin answers, but then let’s jump higher and higher to see who will win! »
The fillies let Hippolin jump and then jump again.
The game lasts a long time because the three cousins ​​are still tied.
Tired, they then decide to abandon the game and declare all three winners ex aequo.

After looking in the direction of the neighboring meadow, Hippolin asks his mum: “Hey, mum, Monette and Roney are out, can we go see them?
- Yes, you can go as long as you don't stay too long, answers the mare.
- Classy! respond in chorus Hippolin and his cousins.
In the nearby pasture, Monette the young pony and Roney the young pony are already waiting for them in front of the fence.
All five are used to seeing each other because a friendship has been created between them.
They like to chat together for long periods of time.

The three cousins ​​go to meet them at a trot.
During the conversation, they learn that a new filly will soon arrive with her parents in the meadow where they live.
"Great, we're having a new girlfriend!" exclaims Hippolette happily.
- Yes, and we can play two by two, said Polina.
- And also have a great galloping competition! continues Hippolin all exalted.
- You're in luck, Monette points out to them, Roney and I are the only two young people in our field. »

Suddenly, they hear a neigh.
It's dad Val who reminds Hippolin and his cousins, it's time for them to come back to the couple.
The three cousins ​​join Val and Juju leaving their two friends who go back to frolicking on their land.
And indeed, a few days later, a brown filly with a long and beautiful light mane arrives with her parents in the meadow where Hippolin and his cousins ​​live.
Hippolette and Polina are the first to meet her.
Hippolin watches them from a distance.

The fillies show up and rub shoulders with her.
It is their way of welcoming the new arrival. Hippolin, less expansive, arrives slowly and prefers to greet her with a soft neigh.
"Here is Pulchérie," says Hippolette to the colt.
- Are you going to stay long? he asks this new playmate.
- I will live here with my parents until winter.
- Great, we'll be able to play well together.
- Yes and we will introduce you to Monette and Roney, they are our two friends from the meadow next door, we have long discussions with them, adds Polina.
"Okay, I feel like I'm going to have a good time with you all"

The four friends express their joy while rolling in the grass then Pulchérie gets up and rushes towards her parents, impatient to tell them of her satisfaction at having been able to find playmates.
The three cousins ​​then start frolicking happily, leaping and a few little kicks to make their hooves click. Soon, all four of them will be frolicking in the meadow.
They will thus create beautiful childhood memories that they will keep in their hearts when they have grown up.
